Its oil-powered formula boosts lifting efficiency for faster, more even lift with maximized neutralization.

What 30 volume is for

30 volume is the off-scalp strength of the pair: Matrix lists it for balayage, freehand and highlights in foils, not for on-scalp application. Matrix states that even on the darkest levels, BlondeMax 9+ Lightener with 30 volume delivers up to 9 levels of lift, which is why the system has no 40 volume.

How to use

Combine the recommended amounts of BlondeMax 9+ Lightener and the Matrix BlondeMax 30 Volume Developer in a non-metallic bowl. Ratios for 30 volume: 1:1 for balayage or freehand and 1:1.5 for foil highlights. For on-scalp work, switch to 20 volume developer at 1:2 or 1:3.

Wear suitable disposable gloves and mix in a well-ventilated area, in a non-metallic bowl, until smooth and creamy. Follow the mixing ratios carefully: Matrix warns that incorrect ratios can damage hair or scalp, including irritation, hair loss or chemical burns. Process up to 50 minutes depending on the desired result, without added heat. Read the safety warnings and instructions on pack before every service and carry out any test the pack directs.
