Matrix BlondeMax 9+ Oil-Powered Developer 20 Volume 946ml is the 20 volume (6%) developer in the BlondeMax 9+ system, made for licensed colourists working with BlondeMax 9+ Oil-Powered Lightener. Its oil-powered formula boosts lifting efficiency for faster, more even lift and up to 9 levels of clean lightening from root to tip.

What 20 volume is for

20 volume is the versatile strength of the pair. It is the only BlondeMax 9+ developer Matrix lists for on-scalp application, and it also covers balayage, freehand and foil work. For lighter starting levels (6 and up), Matrix recommends the 20 volume developer, checking lift every 10 to 15 minutes.

How to use

Combine the recommended amounts of BlondeMax 9+ Lightener and the Matrix BlondeMax 20 Volume Developer in a non-metallic bowl.

Mixing ratios (lightener to developer)

• Balayage or freehand: 1:1 with 20 or 30 volume BlondeMax 9+ Oil-Powered Developer
• Highlights in foils: 1:1.5 with 20 or 30 volume developer
• On-scalp: 1:2 or 1:3 with 20 volume developer only

Wear suitable disposable gloves and mix in a well-ventilated area, in a non-metallic bowl, until smooth and creamy. Follow the mixing ratios carefully: Matrix warns that incorrect ratios can damage hair or scalp, including irritation, hair loss or chemical burns. Process up to 50 minutes depending on the desired result, without added heat. Read the safety warnings and instructions on pack before every service and carry out any test the pack directs.
