CND Shellac Gel Polish Poppy Fields is a cheerful red with subtle yellow undertones, and it is genuinely unlike anything else in the CND red range, which is unusual for a brand with this many reds already on the wall. Those yellow undertones are what give it its lift: it is a warm, poppy-bright red rather than a blue-toned cherry or a deep barn red, and it stays loud without becoming an orange. It leads the Rise & Shine collection, CND's spring palette of sunny shades intended to keep spirits high. Applied as the Color Coat in the CND Shellac system, Poppy Fields is a professional shade for clients who want a red with energy in it.

How to Use

1. Prep the natural nail: shape the free edge with a 240 grit file, gently push back and remove non-living cuticle tissue, then cleanse and temporarily dehydrate the plate with CND ScrubFresh on a plastic-backed, lint-free pad. No filing or buffing of the nail surface.
2. Roll CND Shellac Base Coat between your palms to blend, apply one thin layer to the nail surface and extension edge, and cure for 10 seconds on preset button 1 in a CND LED Lamp. Do not wipe the top film.
3. Shake CND Shellac Gel Polish Poppy Fields vigorously, apply one thin layer to the surface and extension edge, and cure for one minute on preset button 2S. Applied correctly, the first layer looks slightly semi-sheer.
4. Apply a second thin layer and cure for a further minute on preset button 2S. Keep both layers thin, as a pigment-rich red applied too thickly can wrinkle in the lamp.
5. Roll CND Shellac Top Coat between your palms, apply one thin layer to the surface and extension edge, and cure for one minute on preset button 3.
6. Remove the top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol on a plastic-backed, lint-free pad to reveal the gloss, a step No-Wipe+ Top Coat does not need, then condition with a drop of CND SolarOil.
7. For removal, saturate a CND Foil Remover Wrap pad with CND Offly Fast Moisturizing Remover, wrap each finger and time the soak to the top coat used. Press, massage and twist the wrap away, then wipe residue with Offly Fast.
