CND Shellac Gel Polish Books & Beaujolais is a deep barn red, and the name is doing exactly what it says: this is the red of a weathered barn and a glass of Beaujolais by the fire, not a bright pillar-box red. It anchors the Wild Romantics collection, CND's rustic autumn palette of warm, earthy tones, inspired by freedom, love and nature and by a deeper appreciation for small moments of serenity. Books & Beaujolais is dusty and grounded where a classic red is bright and sharp, which is what lets it sit comfortably next to the terracotta and mauve shades in the same collection. Applied as the Color Coat in the CND Shellac system, it is a professional autumn red.

How to Use

1. Shape the free edge with a 240 grit file, gently push back and lift away non-living cuticle tissue, then cleanse and temporarily dehydrate the nail plate with CND ScrubFresh on a plastic-backed, lint-free pad. The nail surface is not filed or buffed.
2. Roll CND Shellac Base Coat between your palms, apply one thin layer to the nail surface and extension edge, and cure for 10 seconds on preset button 1 in a CND LED Lamp. Do not wipe the top film.
3. Shake CND Shellac Gel Polish Books & Beaujolais vigorously to blend, apply one thin layer to the surface and extension edge, and cure for one minute on preset button 2S. The first layer looks slightly semi-sheer.
4. Apply a second thin layer and cure for one minute on preset button 2S. Keep the layers thin, as colour applied too thickly can wrinkle as it cures.
5. Roll CND Shellac Top Coat between your palms, apply one thin layer to the surface and extension edge, and cure for one minute on preset button 3.
6. Wipe the top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol on a plastic-backed, lint-free pad to bring up the gloss. This step is not needed with No-Wipe+ Top Coat. Finish with CND SolarOil.
7. To remove, saturate a CND Foil Remover Wrap pad with CND Offly Fast Moisturizing Remover, wrap each finger and set a timer to match the top coat used. Press, massage and twist the wrap away, then wipe residue with Offly Fast.
