CND Shellac Gel Polish Satin Slippers is a soft, semi-sheer pink carrying a slight white tone, and it is one of the shades CND moved into the core Shellac range from the Shellac Luxe line. It is deliberately not opaque. Even at the two thin layers the system calls for, Satin Slippers stays translucent enough to let the nail show through, landing somewhere between a creamy beige nude and a pale pink depending on the client's own nail tone underneath. That is exactly why it is a bridal and french manicure workhorse: it reads clean and demure on its own, and gives a french a little more coverage than a clear pink would. As the Color Coat step of the CND Shellac system, it is a professional shade for techs who need one reliable understated pink.

How to Use

1. Prep the natural nail: shape the free edge with a 240 grit file, push back and lift away non-living cuticle tissue, then cleanse and temporarily dehydrate the plate with CND ScrubFresh on a plastic-backed, lint-free pad. Do not file or buff the nail surface.
2. Roll CND Shellac Base Coat between your palms, apply one thin layer to the nail surface and extension edge, and cure for 10 seconds on preset button 1 in a CND LED Lamp. Leave the top film in place.
3. Shake CND Shellac Gel Polish Satin Slippers vigorously, apply one thin layer to the surface and extension edge, and cure for one minute on preset button 2S. Expect this first layer to look distinctly sheer.
4. Apply a second thin layer and cure for one minute on preset button 2S. This shade is designed to finish semi-sheer rather than opaque, so keep the layers thin; colour applied too thickly can wrinkle in the lamp.
5. Roll CND Shellac Top Coat between your palms, apply one thin layer to the surface and extension edge, and cure for one minute on preset button 3.
6. Wipe the top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol on a plastic-backed, lint-free pad to bring up the gloss, a step No-Wipe+ Top Coat does not require, then finish with CND SolarOil.
7. To remove, saturate a CND Foil Remover Wrap pad with CND Offly Fast Moisturizing Remover, wrap each finger and set the timer by the top coat used. Press, massage and twist the wrap away, then wipe residue with Offly Fast.
