CND Shellac Gel Polish Naked Naivete is a soft, milky beige nude colour coat with a pastel cast and an opaque creme finish. Professional stockists list it simply as a beige, and that plainness is the value: it is a clean, warm nude with no shimmer, no grey and no pink pull, which makes it one of the easier neutrals to place on a client without a consultation. Unlike a sheer nude, Naked Naivete covers - it reaches opacity across two thin layers, giving an even, uniform nail rather than a wash that shows every ridge and free-edge line underneath. That combination of opaque coverage and understated colour is what makes it a workhorse. Pair it with a brighter pink such as Cake Pop for a two-tone set, or run it alone for natural, bridal and corporate work. It is the colour step of the CND Shellac system.

How to Use

1. Prep the natural nail: shape the free edge with a fine 240 grit file, gently push back and lift away non-living cuticle tissue, then cleanse and temporarily dehydrate the plate with CND ScrubFresh on a lint-free pad. No filing or buffing of the nail surface is required.
2. Roll CND Shellac Base Coat between the palms to blend, apply one thin layer to the extension edge and nail surface and cure 10 seconds on preset button 1 in a CND LED Lamp. Leave the top film in place.
3. Shake Naked Naivete vigorously to blend, apply one thin layer to the extension edge and nail surface and cure one minute on preset button 2S. This first layer looks slightly semi-sheer, which is correct.
4. Apply a second thin layer of Naked Naivete and cure one minute on preset button 2S to reach full, even opacity. Keep the layers thin - colour applied too thickly can wrinkle in the lamp.
5. Roll CND Shellac Top Coat between the palms, apply one thin layer and cure one minute on preset button 3.
6. Wipe the top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free pad to reveal the gloss, then finish with a drop of CND SolarOil. Not needed with No-Wipe+ Top Coat.
7. To remove, saturate a CND Foil Remover Wrap pad with CND Offly Fast Moisturizing Remover, wrap each finger and set a timer to the top coat used. Press, massage and twist the wrap away, then wipe any residue with Offly Fast.
