CND Shellac Gel Polish Studio White is a semi-sheer soft white colour coat with a luminous creme finish. The important thing to know is that this is not an opaque block white: it is an off-white that goes on translucent and builds, which is exactly why it has become a standing French manicure tip shade. Worn thin it gives the soft, modern French that clients ask for by name; layered up it moves toward a fuller white without ever turning chalky. Professionals report mixed opacity at a single layer, with some finding it covers cleanly and others needing the full two layers or more, so treat coverage as something to build to the client in the chair rather than assume. Studio White is the colour step of the CND Shellac system and is worn over a CND Shellac base coat and sealed with a CND Shellac top coat.

How to Use

1. Prep the natural nail: fine 240 grit file on the free edge, gently push back and lift away non-living cuticle tissue, then cleanse and temporarily dehydrate the plate with CND ScrubFresh on a lint-free pad. The nail surface is not filed or buffed.
2. Roll CND Shellac Base Coat between the palms, apply one thin layer to the extension edge and nail surface, and cure 10 seconds on preset button 1 in a CND LED Lamp. Leave the top film in place.
3. Shake Studio White vigorously to blend, then apply one thin layer - either across the whole nail or along the free edge for a French tip - and cure one minute on preset button 2S. Expect this layer to be sheer.
4. Apply a second thin layer and cure one minute on preset button 2S. Judge the coverage against the look you want: add further thin layers, curing between each, to build a fuller white. Do not apply one thick coat to shortcut it, as thick colour wrinkles during cure.
5. Roll CND Shellac Top Coat between the palms, apply one thin layer and cure one minute on preset button 3.
6. Remove the top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free pad to reveal the gloss, then condition with CND SolarOil. This step is not required with No-Wipe+ Top Coat.
7. To remove, saturate a CND Foil Remover Wrap pad with CND Offly Fast Moisturizing Remover, wrap each finger and time to the top coat used. Press, massage and twist the wrap away, then wipe residue with Offly Fast.
