CND Shellac Gel Polish Strawberry Smoothie is a semi-sheer pale pink colour coat lit with a soft, silvery shimmer. This shade is worth understanding before it goes on the wall: in the bottle it reads as a deeper, almost dusty rose, but on the nail it applies far lighter and stays notably sheer, with professionals reporting it finishes pale and translucent even after the standard two layers. That is the shade working as intended rather than a fault. It suits clients who want a lit-from-within natural nail, a soft wash of colour over a French, or a delicate finish that flatters rather than announces. Because it is translucent, Strawberry Smoothie can be layered beyond two coats or worn over a deeper cured shade to change its depth. It is the colour step of the CND Shellac system, worn between base coat and top coat.

How to Use

1. Prep the nail: shape the free edge with a fine 240 grit file, push back and lift away non-living cuticle tissue, then cleanse and temporarily dehydrate the plate with CND ScrubFresh on a lint-free pad. No filing or buffing of the nail surface.
2. Roll CND Shellac Base Coat between the palms, apply one thin layer to the extension edge and nail surface and cure 10 seconds on preset button 1 in a CND LED Lamp. Do not wipe the top film.
3. Shake Strawberry Smoothie vigorously to disperse the shimmer, apply one thin layer and cure one minute on preset button 2S. This layer will look very sheer.
4. Apply a second thin layer and cure one minute on preset button 2S. This shade stays translucent at two layers by design. If the client wants more depth, add further thin layers, curing one minute on preset 2S between each, rather than applying one thick coat - thick colour wrinkles in the lamp.
5. Roll CND Shellac Top Coat between the palms, apply one thin layer and cure one minute on preset button 3.
6. Wipe the top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free pad to bring up the gloss, then finish with CND SolarOil. Not needed with No-Wipe+ Top Coat.
7. To remove, saturate a CND Foil Remover Wrap pad with CND Offly Fast Moisturizing Remover, wrap each finger and time to the top coat used. Press, massage, twist away and wipe residue with Offly Fast.
