CND Shellac Gel Polish Rubble is a warm, earthy brown colour coat with a smooth creme finish. Despite a name that suggests concrete, Rubble is not a grey: professional stockists list it as a dark brown, and it carries a warm, soil-toned base rather than a cool or taupe one. It gives real depth on the nail without dropping to the near-black end of the range, which makes it a more wearable alternative to espresso or black for clients who want something serious but still soft. Rubble is a natural autumn and winter wall shade and works particularly well on shorter nails, where a deep warm brown looks tailored rather than heavy. Applied as step two of the CND Shellac system, it is worn over a CND Shellac base coat and finished with a CND Shellac top coat.

How to Use

1. Prep the natural nail: fine 240 grit file on the free edge, push back and lift away non-living cuticle tissue, then cleanse and temporarily dehydrate the plate with CND ScrubFresh on a lint-free pad. The nail surface needs no filing or buffing.
2. Roll CND Shellac Base Coat between the palms to blend, apply one thin layer to the extension edge and nail surface, and cure 10 seconds on preset button 1 in a CND LED Lamp. Do not wipe the top film.
3. Shake Rubble vigorously to blend, apply one thin layer and cure one minute on preset button 2S. The first layer reads slightly semi-sheer when applied correctly.
4. Apply a second thin layer of Rubble and cure one minute on preset button 2S to build the full depth of the brown. Keep layers thin, as a thick coat can wrinkle in the lamp.
5. Roll CND Shellac Top Coat between the palms, apply one thin layer and cure one minute on preset button 3.
6. Wipe the top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free pad to reveal the gloss and finish with a drop of CND SolarOil. No-Wipe+ Top Coat does not need this step.
7. To remove, saturate a CND Foil Remover Wrap pad with CND Offly Fast Moisturizing Remover, wrap each finger and set a timer to match the top coat used. Press, massage and twist the wrap away, then wipe residue with Offly Fast.
