CND Shellac Gel Polish Red Baroness 12.5ml

CND Shellac Gel Polish Red Baroness is a saturated, opaque red colour coat with a rich creme finish. This is a true red rather than a coral or a berry, and it carries no shimmer or pearl, so it reads as a clean block of colour on the nail and holds its depth under both daylight and salon light. The pigment load is high enough to reach full opacity in two thin layers without patching or streaking at the free edge. Red Baroness answers the standing salon demand for a dependable, grown-up red that works year-round on both hands and toes, and it is the shade to reach for when a client asks simply for a red manicure. Used as the colour step in the CND Shellac system, it is applied over a CND Shellac base coat and sealed with a CND Shellac top coat.

How to Use

1. Prep the natural nail: shape the free edge with a fine 240 grit file, gently push back and lift away non-living cuticle tissue, then cleanse and temporarily dehydrate the plate with CND ScrubFresh on a lint-free pad. No filing or buffing of the nail surface is required.
2. Roll CND Shellac Base Coat between the palms rather than shaking it. Apply one thin layer to the extension edge and nail surface, then cure 10 seconds on preset button 1 in a CND LED Lamp and leave the top film in place.
3. Shake Red Baroness vigorously to blend the pigment, apply one thin layer to the extension edge and nail surface, and cure for one minute on preset button 2S. Expect this first layer to look slightly semi-sheer.
4. Build coverage with a second thin layer of Red Baroness and cure for one minute on preset button 2S. Thin layers matter here - a heavy coat of a highly pigmented red can wrinkle as it cures.
5. Roll CND Shellac Top Coat between the palms, apply one thin layer and cure for one minute on preset button 3.
6. Remove the top film with 99% isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free pad to bring up the gloss, then condition with a drop of CND SolarOil. This wipe is not needed with No-Wipe+ Top Coat.
7. To remove, saturate a CND Foil Remover Wrap pad with CND Offly Fast Moisturizing Remover, wrap each finger and time to the top coat used. Press, massage and twist the wrap away, then wipe any residue with Offly Fast.
